CEU Business School
CEU Business School, conveniently located on the Buda side of the Danube river, just 5 minutes from downtown Budapest, Hungary, is the Business School of Central European University. A landmark institution in the region since its inception in 1988 by a group of visionary leaders including George Soros, CEU Business School was the first educational institution in Central-Eastern Europe to offer graduate business education leading to an American MBA. Since the beginning, the School has played, and continues to play a pivotal role in linking global management theories with the realities and challenges of the region's transforming economies. The International Executive MBA Program, “International Master's in Management” is a joint effort of 4 premier Business Schools: Purdue University's Krannert School of Management in the United States, Tilburg University's Tias Business School in The Netherlands, CEU Business School of Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and GISMA Business School in Germany. It is ranked #15 in the world by the Financial Times (October, 2008) in their world-wide survey of Executive MBAs. This integrated, modular Executive MBA, which begins each year in March, is for experienced professionals who seek to obtain their dual degree while maintaining their full-time job responsibilities. Rotating on-campus instructional time is focused into six two-week residential sessions over the 2 years. CEU Business School offers an exceptional opportunity to earn an MBA in the heart of new Europe. The one-year, full-time program begins each year in September. A rigorous, participative curriculum is taught by prominent international faculty with roots and experience in Central Eastern Europe. Executive MBA, the same high quality American degree as the full-time program, can also be earned on a part-time basis, with no career interruption. Executive MBA starts in February each year. Our newest program is the BSc in Global Management. This multidisciplinary undergraduate program combines the fundamentals of business with the humanities and social sciences. Students are trained to become the kind of socially responsible global managers who can succeed in different markets, in all types of organizations, with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Students will acquire a much broader-based skill set than the typical business or economics program, going beyond the development of analytical skills, to build in the areas of leadership, critical thinking, cultural awareness and ethics. The Dual Degree in International Business from Universitŕ Bocconi and CEU Business School is a unique undergraduate program. The first 2 years of study are delivered at CEU Business School in Budapest, Hungary, and the final 2 years at Universitŕ Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy. Upon completion of this program, students will receive: an Italian Bachelor Degree in International Economics and Management and American Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from CEU Business School. To keep pace with a constantly changing economy and an ever-increasing competitive environment, managers at all levels must be fully committed to the concept of life-long learning. CEU Business School's vast array of Executive Development Programs has been developed to upgrade skills, add new competencies and to impart the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance managerial effectiveness. Our program portfolio includes everything from one-day executive workshops to comprehensive training programs, and offers both open enrollment (HR, Lobby, AmCham Academy) and company-tailored (Energy Management, Project Management, Change Management) management education. The School offers an MSc in IT Management Program, which is a highly specialized business degree. The program focuses on the relevant management issues across various industries. It delivers a unique blend of technology and business management skills development, with particular emphasis given to entrepreneurship. Carefully designed to fit the schedule of professionals, the 11-month program starts each year in April.
