Funding your PhD through public or private awards

Most PhD and doctoral students rely on external funding for their programme of study. While an increasing number of universities and institutions offer scholarship programmes and studentships to their incoming and current PhD students, there is a wide range of additional funding sources available to students wishing to study at the postgraduate level.

In our section ‘University Funding’ we have provided an overview of funding available through institutions and academic departments in the form of scholarships and studentships.
